I couldn't help but laugh.
It was beat to shit and was missing the fuel door like literally every other Aveo I've ever seen.
Please, stupid young teens, kill more Daewoo shitboxes.

I've seen Aveo's in better condition than Subaru's around where I live. That's surprising as Upstate NY is really hard on frames and all metal bits in the winter.

HOW?
They were built with tinfoil and glue, I swear.

I have no freaking idea. Almost every Outback or Legacy I see is covered in rust while almost every one of these is almost mint. It's scary, must only be driven in the summer.

Or by old people who religiously only drive to church on Sunday and clean it right after.

That too, it's still like the scariest thing I've ever seen.

You saw an Aveo in its natural habitat!

Now we just need to kill ALL of them.

I want one of these, strictly to rally around forest roads and destroy in the process.

The only use they have.

Good, because I didn't just set fire to one for nothing.

I have to look at one on my street every day.
It pains me.

I'm so terribly awfully sorry. My condolences to your wild arson side.

I mean, that's a pretty damn good use if you ask me. They should make more shit boxes like this. I would sure as hell buy one of these over a 4Wheeler.

I worked at a GM dealer when the first Aveos were coming over from Korea. Those things were shit from day one. They made the Cobalt look like a C-class in comparison.

The Sonic is certainly 1000% better.

Or...
They're bought cheap from a rental car company in April (tax time) and crashed by November. They never get a chance to see salt before they wind up in a pick and pull.

While I worked at Carmax, I sold one of these. Sort of, at least.
I was working with the customer, and then my previous customer came in, so I handed off the new customer to another salesperson, and she left with one of these.
I saw it in our service dept the following week with a grocery list of repairs needed, because ex rental car.
That being said, she was apparently very happy with it after everything was fixed. To each their own, I guess.
That may be the sale I feel the worst about, or at least it's right behind the 2006 Saturn Ion I sold for $12,000.

Someone paid $12,000 for an Ion?
Someone PAID $12,000 for a Saturn ION ?

It was a 2006 Saturn Ion 2 w/ 26K in 2013. It was a car that I walked past everyday on the lot thinking, "who the f*** is gonna sell that". It ended up being me.

The Aveo is just an awful little roller skate trying to look like a car, but it's so poorly misproportioned. The only thing worse is the Verona, Reno or Forenza - I call them Daewooki's.

Probably because nobody wants to drive an Aveo in any kind of precipitation. They look better because they do less.

I would have never considered a GM small car up until the Sonic came out. I've now owned my 2013 LT Turbo six speed hatchback since February, when I picked it up with 7,000 miles on the clock for a song. I've put 23,000 miles on it and had zero issues with it, it averages 38 mpg combined and it's very comfortable and surprisingly roomy for its size. Looking forward to a couple more years and many more miles with it.
The Aveo was Hyde, and the Sonic is definitely Jekyll.

I went down to upstate NY yesterday. Went to Alexandria Bay. It was very upstate.

The sonic is 1000 times better than the Aveo.
Even my Cavalier is better than the aveo. The aveo was a step backwards.

Yes it is. A lot of the StL Seaway and Lake areas are very upstate.

The guy was buying it for his 18 y/0 daughter. This guy talked to me for 10 minutes about how he bought a Sebring Convertible but he never uses the convertible feature. He just liked the way the car looked.

Had he not bought a convertible he would have landau'd a normal sebring.

I really like the towns along the St. Lawrence. There is a big castle up near Alexandria that we were checking out. It was neat!

Boldt Castle? I haven't been up there yet even though I've lived here my whole life.

Yeah. If you ever get a chance to go, go. It was incredible!

We were going to but we just ran out of time. Might try to squeeze a visit in before school starts.
